The Gap State High School Case Study
Another element that made Box of Books stand out from the crowd during our selection process was the help service. We valued that students can go directly to the in-app messaging and have their issue resolved.
The school was previously licensing a book bundle from a single publisher, but with a change in their senior curriculum fast approaching they needed to diversify their resources.
The Gap State High learned Box of Books was used by another high schoolat a Principal’s Meeting, and when the platform was discussed at the school as an option, another staff member noted she had heard of Box of Books through her library network. As part of their standard procurement process, the school set out to evaluate three different digital resourcing option.
We felt you were a company who would collaborate with us, because a school doesn’t know all the issues that will arise when they start out on a new digital strategy.
We interviewed Roger Hallmond, Head of Department – Digital Technologies/Digital Solutions/IPT Teacher, and Bernadette Power, Teacher Librarian, to find out why they chose Box of Books over other platform.
“What set Box of Books apart from the others”, Roger and Bernadette said, “if we take out the tech, the cost and resourcing; was we wanted to form a business relationship, and we had confidence Box of Books would support us.”
Box of Books partners with schools at strategic, technology and educational levels to integrate with existing systems and consolidate digital learning resources onto one platform. We become an integral part of the school’s digital strategy.
We’ve had experiences with other companies who make promises but don’t come through. Box of Books solves problems and we [the school IT team] don’t have to get involved. There was the promise of unlimited help and you’ve really delivered on it.
The Gap State High uses Microsoft O365 for their Single Sign On, and a school licensing model. When asked about what impressed them once the platform was rolled out, Roger and Bernadette noted: “It’s a one stop shop. Students can sign in once and they don’t need to sign in again to any third party portal – all their resources are consolidated on one platform.”
Making certain people have great customer experiences with Box of Books lies at the very heart of our business, and throughout our relationship with you, your staff, your students and their parents, you can expect your school community to receive first class engagement and support from our team.
